Records are more complete and consistent when a DBMS is used to maintain data

Answer:

If by accident accident one entry is not changed then the data becomes inconsistent (mismatching). This is what DBMS helps prevent. Also DBMS prevents same entries for example if you have setup a primary key then whatever you enter in it the DBMS makes it unique for that record.
