Answer:-

The total area of the border is  3.375

Given:-

Length: 12 meters

Width: 1.5 meters

Needed:-

The total area

 Reasoning:

To find the total area, we must calculate the answer using the following formula:

Area=Area(1)+Area(2)+Area(3)+Area(4)

Or:

0.5×1.5+11.25×0.1+0.25×1.5+11.25×0.1

0.75+1.125+0.375+1.125

⇒3.375

Hence, the total area of the border is 3.375. I hope this helps you. Good luck solving, mathematician!
