Red is seen on the outer edge of a rainbow. Why?​

Beacause red is havinhmg the longer wavelength

Because the wave length of red is maximum for red. The rain drops which act as a prism refracts red the least and violet maximum . So this leads to the dispersion of colours . So red will only be at the outer edge of rainbow.

harigovindr: in a water droplet refraction and total internal reflection takes place. Even though red deviates less. When it is reflected Violet comes out above red.
