Red litmus paper is dipped in a solution. It remains red. What is nature of the solution? Explain your answer?

It is mainly substances in alkali or acid and the chemicals that include the ammonia, lye and baking soda.

The Acidic substances include the vinegar, battery acid and lemon juice.

Acids and Alkalies are at opposite extremes chemically having the form a neutral substance.
