Reduce the following equation to linnear equation by suitable substitute and hence solve 2/(7x+y )+1/(7x-y)=1 ,5/(7x+y)-3/(7x-y)=8

The equation is 2/(7x+y)+ 1/(7x-y)= 1

5(7x +y )- 3/(7x-y)

We will consider

1/x+y = m and 1/x-y = n

then 2/7m + 1/7n= 1

5/7m- 3/7n= 8

we will used elimination method

we will multiply 3 in 1 equation and 1 in 2 equation

we will find

6/21m+3/7n= 3

5/7m- 3/7n= 8
