Answer:

Hii dear here is ur answer

The carbon atoms used to build carbohydrate molecules comes from carbon dioxide, the gas that animals exhale with each breath. The Calvin cycle is the term used for the reactions of photosynthesis that use the energy stored by the light-dependent reactions to form glucose and other carbohydrate molecules

Hope its help u

Answer:

Here Carbon Dioxide is reduced to glucose (Carbohydrate) by the hydrogen in NADPH and by utilising the chemical energy stored in ATP.

Dark Reaction takes place in stroma region of Chloroplasts. Melvin Calvin gave the details of this process using radioactive carbon. It is also called as Calvin Cycle. In recognition of his work, Calvin was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1961.

Extra Information !!

ATP and NADPH molecules formed during light reactions together are known as Assimilatory Power. Here CO2 first of all combines with RuBP (Ribulose Biphosphate) . After a series of reactions, Carbohydrate is synthesized and RuBP is regenerated.

The overall Dark reactions can be represented as :-

RuBP + CO2 + NADPH + ATP -------->

RuBP+C6H12O6+ADP+NADP+PO4

Here C6H12O6 is Glucose.
