Reed the partage below and anewer the questione that follow:
Very often we come across people who could be called Bores. They have an immense capacity
to bore others. Bores are good at boring others because usually they have certain fixed ideas to
impart and stories to tell that they think everybody would be interested in.
They drive their happiness not from the fact that they have so much to tell, but from the fact that
they can always find people to tell it to. They can always find listeners. This is possible because
very few men are strong enough to tell Bores that they are getting bored.
Bores make crowds of people and we are left either to listen or to endure whatever they are
saying. We see them in the distance and change our lanes, run sideways or else way. There are
people who make deals with their servants to give them false rings on their mobiles when they
encounter or are trapped in the company of such bores. But never would they have the courage
to tell the Bores that they are dying of boredom.
Such people can stoop to lying and deceiving Bores, but cannot make terms with letting the
Bores think that they are avoiding them. They would not dare bring grief to Bores because
usually Bores are innocent people, though they have a strong sense of ego and self worth. Crafty
men are busy men and therefore, can never be Bores for they would never have time enough for
any kind of idle talk.
1. Why is it easier for Bores to find listeners?
2. What devices do people adopt to get rid of Bores?
3. Why can busy men not become Bores?
