Reema left the wheat dough in the open. After a few

Answer:

When any food comes in contact with oxygen the food get oxidised.

This process is called rancidity. When this process is complete the food emits a foul smell and doesn't taste the same . There might also be some microbes enter to the food for the their diet this is why it's not recommendable to eat that food.
