Let Reema's mother's present age = x

Reema's age present age = x - 24

After 6 years,

Reema's mother's age = x + 6

Reema's age = x - 24 + 6

= x - 18

According To Question :-

x - 18 = \dfrac{1}{3} (x + 6)

x - 18 = \dfrac{x + 6}{3}

3 (x - 18) = x + 6

3x - 54 = x + 6

3x - x = 6 + 54

2x = 60

x = \dfrac{60}{2}

x = 30

So, Reema's mother's present age = 30 years.

Reema's present age = 30 - 24 = 6 years.

Reema's age after 6 years is 6 + 6 = 12 years.

So, Reema's age after 6 years will be 12 years.

Solution:-

Let Reemas's Mother's age be "x" years.

=) Reemas's Age = (x - 24) years.

After 6 years,

Reemas's Mother's Age = (x + 6) years.

Reemas's Age = ( x -24) + 6

=) Reemas's Age = (x - 18) years.

A.T.Q.

=) ( x + 6)/3 = ( x - 18)

=) x + 6 = 3( x - 18)

=) x + 6 = 3x - 54

=) 3x - x = 60

=) x = 60/2

=) x = 30.

Hence,

Reemas's Age After 6 years = ( x - 18)

=) Reemas's Age After 6 years = 30 - 18

=) Reemas's Age After 6 years = 12 years.
