Reena lighted 2 candles and placed thena in 2 glasses A and B. She placed a glass slab on glass B and noticed that candle flame was put off. Guess why candle B flame goes off?

combustion needs oxygen in reaction and by placing a glass slab we have cut the supply of oxygen so the candle will automatically turn off when there is no oxygen left in the glass

Burning of a candle is through the process of combustion and this process takes place only in the presence of oxygen(O2). When the glass is shut with a slab the supply of oxygen goes down and carbon dioxide fills the place of oxygen. Ultimately the candle gets extinguished due to the absence of oxygen
