Reena runs along the side of square garden which is 85 m long. If she covers 50 cm in one step, how many steps will she take to run once round the garden ?

Solution:

The total distance that Reena will have to run = perimeter of the square

= 4 × 85 = 340 m

If Reena covers 50 i.e. 0.5 m in one step then her total steps will be:

= 340/ 0.5 = 680

Thus, Reena will take 680 steps to run once around the garden.
