Answer:

The speed of auto is 2.5 km/hr and the speed bus is 10 km/hr.

Solution:

Let the speed of auto be x km/hr and bus be y km.hr

From the given data,

\frac{3}{x} + \frac{12}{y}= 1 …. (1)

\frac{5}{x} + \frac{10}{y} = 1 + 10/60 …. (2)

\frac{10}{60}because it takes extra 10 minutes to reach

Eq(1) and (2) can be expressed if \frac{1}{x}= A, \frac{1}{y}= B, as

3A + 12B = 1  ..(3)

5A + 10B =\frac{7}{6} ..(4)

Solving the equations, we get speed of auto = 2.5 km/hr and bus is 10 km/hr.

Result:

The speed of auto is 2.5 km/hr and the speed bus is 10 km/hr.
