let reenu be x

her father = 3x

ACQ,after 12 years reenu's father is twice at reenu

so lets form an equation

(12+3x) = 2(12+x)

12 +3x =24+2x

3x-2x = 24-12

x =12

father = 3x

= 12*3

= 36 years
