Reenu's father is thrice as old as Reenu. After 12 year he will be just twice his daughter. Find their present ages.​

Let the present age of Reenu be x , then

the present age of Reenu's father = 3x

After 12 year , the age of

Reenu = x + 12

Reenu's father =3x + 12

After 12 year father ' age = twice old as old his daughter .

 \bold{ \implies \: 3x + 12 = 2x + 24}

\bold{ \implies \:3x - 2x =24 - 12  }

\bold{ \implies \:x = 12 }

By putting the value of x

  • Reenu' age = x

= 12 years

  • Reenu's father age = 3x

= 3 × 12

= 36 years

Hence , the present age of Reenu and Reenu's father are 12 and 36 respectively.
