Let the present age of Reeta be x and Geeta be y.

then,

x=2y .......i)

and,

Six year ago,

x-6=3×(y-6)

x-6=3y-18

x-3y=-12........ii)

Substitute the value of x in equ.ii)

we get,

2y-3y=-12

-Y=-12

y=12

THEREFORE,

x=2×12=>24
