teachers parent meeting at Reeta's school. As the home of Ranjeet was close to the
school so they were coming by waking.
Reeta asked her father. "Daddy how old are you?"
Ranjeet said. "Sum of ages of both of us is 55 years. After 10 years my age will be
double of you. Now you find ages of both of us"

Solution:

Let say Reeta's present age  = y  Years

Ranjeet's present age   = x   Years

Sum of ages of both   is 55 years

=> x + y = 55

After 10 years Reeta's  age   = y + 10  Years

After 10 years Ranjeet's  age  =  x+ 10   Years

x + 10 = 2(y + 10)

=> x + 10 = 2y + 20

=> x - 2y = 10

y = 15

x = 40

Daughter Reeta's  age  = 15  Years

Father Ranjeet's  Age  = 40  Years
