name of the phenomenon is Dispersion of light and the rainbow formed when the sunlight disperse from the tiny water droplets in the sky. They act just as like a prism. When the white light enters the water droplets it converts the white light into its components seven colours therefore you can see the rainbow in the sky.. Hope this helps :-)
