Answer:

1.An athlete consumes a lot of energy during running. By breathing deeper and faster, the athlete is basically consuming more oxygen.

2.Aerobic Respiration:

It happens in the presence of oxygen.

Main products are CO2 and H2O

Large amount of energy produced

Anaerobic Respiration:

It happens in the absence of oxygen.

The end products can be CO2,Lactic acid and alcohol.

Small amount of energy is produced as compared to aerobic respiration

3.By sneezing, our body tries to expel the dust particles from the air we inhaled so that only clean air enters our body

4.The concentration of CO2 will be highest in test-tube A because snail takes oxygen and breathes out carbon dioxide. Whereas, plants take CO2 and produce oxygen.

1.Our body needs energy for all activities, which is provided by the oxidation of food during respiration. During intense physical activities like running, jumping, playing games like basketball, hockey, football etc. There is a greater demand for energy to perform these activities. Hence, more oxygen is required to meet this extra demand for energy.

2.Cellular respiration is a process that takes place inside the cells, where the breakdown of glucose molecules releases energy. Based on the oxygen usage, the process can be conveniently divided into two categories, namely aerobic and anaerobic respiration.

Aerobic and anaerobic respiration both have a few similarities and differences. Let us read about it in this article.

Similarities

In both aerobic and anaerobic respiration, food is broken down to release energy.

Both take place inside cells.

Both produce by-products.

Energy is released in both reactions.

3.We often sneeze when we inhale a lot of dust-laden air to expel out these foreign particles. These particles get past the hair in the nasal cavity and irritate the lining of the cavity, which triggers a message to the brain. The brain instructs the nasal chamber to initiate sneezing. This is a method to remove the unwanted dust particles from the nostrils. Sneezing is a type of defense mechanism used by our body.

A sneeze is a powerful, involuntary expulsion of air. Sneezing often happens suddenly and without warning. Another name for sneezing is sternutation.

Sometimes, however, dirt and debris can enter your nose and irritate the sensitive mucous membranes inside your nose and throat. When these membranes become irritated, it causes you to sneeze.

4.Test tube A will have the highest concentration of CO2 because the snail will take in oxygen and gives out CO2.

Test tube B and C

The test tubes B contains a water plant. This plant takes carbon dioxide for photosynthesis and gives out oxygen. Thus, the concentration of oxygen will be more in test tube B.

In test tube C, both the water plant and the snail is kept. The plant further utilizes the carbon dioxide released by the snail for photosynthesis, and the snail utilizes the oxygen released by the plant for their respiration. Respiration is the process by which energy is released from food in our body.

In test tubes B and C, the CO2 will be utilized by the water plant for synthesizing food and hence there will be less concentration of CO2 in these.
