at a constant speed of 50 cm/s flies from
A to B, B to C and C to A. (a) What is its
displacement? (b) What is the total distance

A) displacement = 0

B) distance covered = 1200 cm or 12 m

C) time taken to return to A = 24 sec

Explanation:

a) displacement is the shortest distance between two points

over here the starting point and finishing point is same

therefore, displacement = 0

b) distance covered = 3+4+5

                                  =12 m

                                  =1200 cm

c) time taken to return to A = distance covered / speed

=1200/50

=24 seconds
