War is pointless for the following reasons:
The people who started the war do not participate in the war and sit on their comfortable chairs spreading propoganda, Whereas soilders and civilians do.
Often innocent people have to flee from their homes which are lost in war, just like the old man lost everything he had due to the war.
If these wars hadn't started lives of countless soilders and civilians alike could have been saved.
History is evident that the disputes settled by war are mostly temporary and no good comes of off them. Whereas same disputes can be settled peacefully without violence.
