The surface that reflects sound will absorb some amount of the sound. So the amount of sound reflected will be less than the amount of sound hits the surface. Also the reflected sound have to travel more distance to reach our ear. Hence the reflected sound will be be fainter.

Answer:

The Echo is weaker than the original sound. This is because Echo is the reflection of a sound wave i.e a reflected sound . When sound is reflected the intensity of sound decreases.
