Note on human fertilization :

The fertilization is the phenomenon where the gamete of male and gamete of female comes in contact and fuses together.

The gamete of male is sperm and the gamete of female is the ovum or the egg.

During the cross, millions of sperms are released into the female's vagina. Among those, only one sperm that comes in contact with the egg first gets fused with the egg. This is called fertilization.

This fertilization results in the formation of zygote. Later on, the zygote gets transformed into an embryo and then to foetus and finally to a fully developed baby.
