who said that non polished surfaces do not reflect light.. the do.and that phenomenon is called diffused reflection..

actually the question u asked is a controversial one... IN QUANTUM MECHANICS ... LIGHT HAS DUAL NATURE.. PARTICLE AND WAVE.. WHILE EINSTEINS RHEORY EXPLAINS THE WAVE NATURE.. MAX PLANCS THEORY EXPLAINS THE PARRICLE NATURE..

in case of sound there is no such dual nature .. sound is predominantly a wave.. waves need mediums to travel.. so surfaces wheather polished or non polished dosnt matter here ..
