ANSWER:

1) Some fibres are knowwn as synthetic or artificial fibres because they are not plant based fibres . Insted they are chemical based fibres which are not naturally available but are made using chemicals in factories. Hence some fibres are known as synthetic fibres. EG: nylon, polyester,etc

2) The plastics that once heated and moulded into a shape cannot be remoulded into any other shapes are Thermosetting plastics. EG: bakelite , melamine, etc.
