Refractive index n=c÷v means refractive index is equal to speed of light in vaccum divide by frequency we know that frequency is more of voilet colour then how refractive index is more of voilet colour

bro, ur formula is correct ➡ n= c/v

but, v means speed of the light in medium(air,water,glass...etc.)

speed of particular colour is given by c = frequency x wave length

so, all the colours in visible spectrum have same speed.

note:- higher the frequency higher the deviation

so, violet has more deviation than other colours as well as more refractive index.
