In water, the speed of light is v01.33=2.26 x 108 m/s. In glass, the speed of light is v01.52=1.97 x 108 m/s.

Given : Refractive index of water is 1.33 and crown glass is 1.52
To find : Velocity of light is more in glass or more in water or is same in both the mediums.
Solution :
We are aware about the formula of refractive index, according to which :-
Refractive index = Speed of light in air / speed of light in medium
According to this formula, the speed of light would be maximum in that substance whose refractive index is minimum.
Hence the speed (or Velocity) of light would be more in water because it's refractive index is less as compared to glass.
Option (a) is correct.
