Regeneration is possible only in those organisms whose body us made up if single type of cells.
Body of most of the multicellular organisms have different and varied cells, so it is not possible for animals to regenerate because the cells or tissues which make up their internal body parts that exactly same cells are not possible to reproduce.

No regeneration is not possible in complex multi cellular organism like human being because it require higher level of organisation. Being complex it is not possible for human beings to grow with this method as similar cells make tissue, tissues make organs, organs make organ system and organ system make an organism. This complex method applys in the human beings so by the process of regeneration this is not possible.
