Step-by-step explanation:

Lace will be attached at the border of the Saree, i.e. it's perimeter.

Perimeter of saree = 2(4 + 3) m = 14 m

For one saree, you need 14 m of lace.

Total lace = 17 m

Left over = 17 - 14 = 3 m

Answer:

Hence, 14m lace will be needed for one saree and 3m lace will be left over.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle

= 2 (l+b)

= 2 (4+3)

= 2 × 7

= 14m

So lace needed for one saree is 14m.

Lace left = 17m - 14m = 3m.
