Suppose price of saree before including purchase is $\textbf{x Rs.}$

GST rate = 12 %

=> Price of saree after 12 % GST = (x)+(12% of x)

Since its given that price of saree after GST = 5400 Rs,

=> x + 12% of x = 5400

=> x + 12x/100 = 5400

=> x + 3x/25 = 5400

=> 28x/25 = 5400

=> x = (5400 × 25)/28

=> x = 4821.43
