Given:-

  • Rekha had Rs. 65. She bought some notebooks.
  • The cost of each notebook is Rs 4⅓.

To Find:-

  • How many notebooks did she buy?

Solution:-

Let the no. of notebooks of Rs 65. be x.

According to the question,

:\implies 1 : 4⅓ = x : 65

:\implies1 : 13/3 = x : 65

:\implies1/(13/3) = x/65

:\implies3/13 = x/65

:\implies3(65) = x(13)

:\implies195 = 13x

:\implies195/13 = x

:\implies15 = x

:\impliesx = 15

Hence, She bought 15 notebooks of Rs 65.
