Given :

Rekha has 10 red, 20 blue and 10 orange bangles in a box.

She wants to take out two bangles of the same color in dark and without looking.

To Find :

What is the minimum number of bangles must she take out from the box in order to be sure to get two of the same colour.

Explanation :

  • In first chance she would take out one colour out of 3 colours.
  • In second chance she would take out a different colour.
  • In third chance there is a chance of picking third colour which is not matching the picked bangles.
  • In fourth chance the taken out bangles would match any of the colour and she can get the pair of same colour bangles.

Therefore, She must  take out 4 bangles out from the box in border to be sure to get two of the same.

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

In first chance she would take out one colour out of three colours.

In second chance she would take out a different colour most probably.

In third chance there is chance of picking a different colour.

And in the fourth chance the bangle which will take out would match any of the three she was taken out earlier and can get the pair of same colour bangles.

does she must take out for bangles to always get the pair of same colours.
