Let the present age of Rekha be x years

So, the present age of her Father be 3x years

After 12 years -

Rekha's age = (x + 12) years

Her Father's age = (3x + 12) years

According to Question,

Given : Her Father = 2(Rekha's age)

(3x + 12) = 2(x + 12)

⇨ 3x + 12 = 2x + 24

⇨ 3x - 2x = 24 - 12

⇨ x = 12
