The applicable gas laws for given topics are as follows -
- The hot air balloons operate on the basis of the Charles' law. According to the Charles' law, the volume of the gas will expand with the application of heat energy. And, with the expanding volume, the density decreases. Same thing happens inside of a hot air balloon. The heat application lowers the density of the air inside the hot air balloon as compared with the air of outside. Thus, the hot air balloons become able to fly.
- The submarine works on the basis of Boyle's law. The Boyle's law state that the in constant temperature if volume of gas increases then the pressure will decrease and vice versa. Same principle is used in submarines to decrease and increase the Internal pressure, in order to flow or sink.
- Cooking at high altitudes depends on the Gay Lussac's law. According to this law, the low air pressure on the higher altitudes create lower air pressure, as the pressure and temperature are directly proportional. To get rid of this we have to use higher temperature or higher pressure (by using pressure cooker) while cooking.
