Relation between amplitude and frequency in longitudinal waves

amplitude is the vertical distancebetween a peak or a valley and the equilibrium point.Frequency is the number of wave cycles passing a point per unit time. It is another important wave parameter, but there is no relationship between amplitude and frequency. Changing one does not affect the other.
