Relation between viscosity and relative molecular mass

As stated by other people in this section, there is no analytic or quantitative relationship to relate the molecular mass and viscosity of a substance.
However, specifically talking about lubricants, where viscosity plays the most important role, the effects of molecular mass variation is evident. Most of the natural lubricants are organic acids or their derivatives. It has been found that, as the length of the carbon chain in these compounds increase (and hence, the molecular mass), the viscosity of these substances increase as well (though, once again, there is no mathematical relationship to back my claim).
