according to the chapter the dog named Duke. as the Hooper was left paralaized and he was not able to walk and do any work. and that time his wife took the dog to him and dog did mischievous thing.after doing that he realized his mistake and after long time the dog helped him to walk and to do any of the normal work.

after realizing his mistake he had improved himself and helped his master to walk by setting some targets
