Let a,b be the lines which are perpendicular, and have slopes
m1=m, m2=n
Then the relationship is m*n =-1
m=1/-n
In terms of i,
m * n =i²
m=i²/n

if the m and n are slope of perpendicular lines,
m*n=-1
