  • Let velocity of a wave be V , time period be T , frequency be f and wavelength be λ.
  • Wavelength (λ) = Distance travelled by the wave in one time period
  • Wavelength (λ) = Wave velocity × Time period
  • Wavelength (λ) = V × T
  • VT = λ
  • But , we know , T = 1 ÷ f
  • T is time period , f id frequency.
  • So, V × 1 ÷ f = λ
  • V = fλ

➺Wave velocity  = Frequency × Wavelength  (V = fλ)
