A Quadratic polynomial has two zeroes.Generally they are denoted by alpha and beta.......

  1. If alpha and beta are the zeroes of polynomial p(x) = ax^2 + bx + c where a os not equal to 0 , then
  • Sum of zeros is
  •  \frac{ - co \: efficient \: of \: x}{co \: efficient \: of \:  {x}^{2} } \\  \alpha  +  \beta  =  \frac{ - b}{a}
  • Product of zeroes is
  •  \frac{constant \: term \: }{co \: efficient \: of {x}^{2} } \\  \alpha  \beta  =  \frac{c}{a}
