H2 + Cl2 → 2HCl No. of moles of Hydrogen = 2.022.02 = 1 mole No. of moles of Oxygen = 35.4570.9 = 0.5 mole 1 mole of H2 react with 1 mole of Chlorine.........

And this type of reaction is known as redox reaction.. Reason: Hydrogen shows electron loss thereby getting oxidised and chlorine accepts the electrons lost by hydrogen thereby getting reduced!
