Relative Motion question(class 11 cbse)

Two trains, each having a speed of 30 km/h, are headed
towards each other on the same track. A bird that can fly
60 km/h flies off the front of one train when they were
60 km apart and heads directly to the other train. On
reaching the train, the bird flies back to the first train.
What is the total distance the bird travels before the
trains collide?

Answer:

60 Km

Explanation:

Train will collide when Train 1 and Train 2 travels 30 Km each.

Since speed of both is same,  time take by train 1 and train 2 to cover 30 kms is 1 hr.

In 1 hr, bird can travel 60 kms as its speed is 60 kms/hr.

So answer is 60 kms.
