Hi friend,

_______________

Dead remains of plants and animals are called organic matter. Organic matter is anything that contains carbon compounds that were formed by living organisms.

The are many organisms on our planet earth that live in soil, these organisms include bacteria, earthworms, etc and these organisms are known as decomposers.

They live upon dead plants and animals and break the organic material into simple ones which then are released into the soil.
