Explanation:

Awareness, education, preparedness, and prediction and warning systems can reduce the disruptive impacts of a natural disaster on communities. Mitigation measures such as adoption of zoning, land-use practices, and building codes are needed, however, to prevent or reduce actual damage from hazards.

Answer:My community faced a severe earthquake recently and we were told to stay away from bridges, electronic wires, trees and buildings.

The radio constantly gave us instructions and people from areas with rockfalls and landslides were immediately evacuated. The minimal preparations killed a number of people in my society.

Secondly, we faced a tsunami last year. Rehabilitation was provided but many dilapidated houses saw their last during the horrid times. Families were separated and property was washed away like never before.
