1) the James Kirkup's poem "No Men Are Foreign " explain the poets use of the word uniform. The literal meaning of "uniform" denotes that each country involved in war must identify itself as belonging to that country so as not kill or harm its own person.
3)"Persistent pleas" from paragraph 1 are the only words that mean urgent request and "collapsing" from paragraph 3 is the only word that means falling.
