External real ear or pinna has wax producing cermineus glands and oil producing sebaceous glands.

These glands help to keep the ear canal lubricated prevent the dust and other particles from entering into the ear canal called Auditory Meatus.

If we remove wax layer is a disease like formation of pus, infection of serum ect.., may be caused by bacterial and fungal infections.
