Renewable sources of energy- They are inexhaustible non conventional sources of power which are perpetually available to us.  They are eco friendly and reliable source of energy.  They create no pollution and can be replaced easily. Example-solar , water, wind energy etc.

Non renewable sources of energy- They are exhaustible conventional sources of power which are available in limited amount to us.  They are not so eco friendly and create pollution.  They cannot be relied as they take a very very long time to be replaced. Example-coal , petroleum etc.
