Solution

Lets first convert hours into minutes for easy calculation

1 hour = 60 min

2 hours = 60 * 2 = 120 min

1 $\frac{1}{4}$ hours = 60 + 60*1/4 = 60+15 = 75 mins

Using Unitary Method

In 120 mins 2/3 of work was completed

120 mins = 2/3 work

1 min = 2/(3*120)

1 min = 1/180

75 mins = 75/180

75 mins = 5/12

75 mins = 1 $\frac{1}{4}$ hours = 5/12

In 1 $\frac{1}{4}$ hours 5/12 work was completed by Renu.
