repeatedly.
4) they show genetic drift
74. Suppose that in sheep, a dominant allele (B) produces black hair and a recessive allele (b)
produces white hair. If you saw a black sheep, you would be able to identify
1) its phenotype for hair colour.
2) its genotype for hair colour.
3) the genotypes for only one of its parents. 4) the genotypes for both of its parents.

Answer:

Yes.

1) Black

2) Bb/BB

3)Bb/BB

4)Bb+Bb, BB+Bb, BB+BB, BB+bb, Bb+bb

Explanation:

1) The phenotype is practically given in the question

2) Since it has Dominant Trait, it can be homozygous dominant, or heterozygous. Because both show the same physical appearance.

3) Since it's genotype could be either Bb or BB, It has one Dominant  allele whatsoever. Thus one of her parents must've a dominant allele. Because for the parent to pass on a dominant allele, they must have one. Therefore, Bb or BB.

4) Now, the sheep has at least one 'B', again implying, that one of it's parents had a 'B', other alleles could be any. Each of the 5 given combinations above, had at least one 'B'. The rest could be 'B' or 'b'.

Thank you!
