So in it is hard for our body to replicate the lagging strand of DNA as DNApolymerase cannot synthesise from 5' to 3'. So what if in our nucleus helicase , disjoint the whole double felix structure without making a replication fork. Now with help of DNA primer ,DNA polymerase can easily replicate DNA without making okazaki fragments. It would save a lot of cell's energy. I approached with this situation to a biology professer as well but he said that it is because of evolution. Evolution is done for efficiency but if cell would carry out DNA replication as I said it would be a lot more efficient. I am a student and if I am missing any concept to go through please guide me its been a 2 months since I had this question but no one gave me a satisfactory answer.
