Essay writing is a very sensitive form of self expression. It is a harmonious
blending of ‘thought’ and ‘expression’. Essay writing has assumed great
importance in our competitive examinations. It is considered to be the most
effective test of the ability of a candidate to express his thoughts on a topic
of general interest in general, unambiguous and impressive English.
Keeping this perspective in mind, the Mindscraft club of Seventh Day
Adventist College organized the Essay writing competition for the students
of management and commerce departments.
An essay writing competition was held by United Nations Information
Centre for India and Bhutan in association with Shir Ram Chandra Mission
in the college on 27th July 2018. Students were asked to write the essay on
the topic “A mind all logic is a knife all blade. It makes the hand bleed
that uses it.” The word limit for the essay writing was 750 words
